austrian Digital Agency Wins Three Awards at International Competition

Vienna, October 2025 – At the SplashAwards, the prestigious event of the international Drupal community held during DrupalCon Vienna, ACOLONO was honored three times on stage. At the awards ceremony held at the historic Palais Wertheim, the Austrian digital agency secured first place, second place, and an Honorary Mention.
 

Out of four nominations, ACOLONO turned three into awards. This is an impressive result that underscores the company’s expertise in accessible and user-friendly web development.

Gold in the Government Category

ACOLONO took first place in the Government category for the relaunch of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). The project impressed the international jury with its consistent focus on usability and accessibility, implemented using Drupal 10. The new platform at https://www. ffg. at/ sets new standards for the digital presence of public institutions in Austria.

Silver for a Future-Proof Platform

Second place in the Solutions category also went to ACOLONO for the development of ecoplus. at. This platform for economic innovation combines state-of-the-art technology with future-proof architecture and serves as a central hub for economic development in Lower Austria at https://www. ecoplus. at/.

Special Recognition for Accessibility

The FFG project also received an Honorary Mention in the Accessibility category, a special award that recognizes ACOLONO’s commitment to digital inclusion. This dual recognition for a single project underscores the overall quality of its implementation.
 

In addition, ACOLONO was nominated for its modular web development and design work for Bertha von Suttner University in St. Pölten (https://suttneruni. at/).

Following the awards ceremony, the international Drupal community gathered at the Palais Wertheim to celebrate the community’s success and exchange ideas on innovative web solutions.
