Microsoft announces strategic partnership with Drupal
In a press conference in San Francisco this week, Microsoft CTO Kevin Scott announced a huge partnership with the CMS Drupal.
As a first step, Clippy, the famous paper clip from Office 2000, is now appearing on drupal.org, helping out new customers and developers.
I believe this is a big step for Microsoft's OpenSource ambitions and also for the Drupal community.
The next steps are not fixed right now, but switching from GitLab to Github (acquired by Microsoft) and hosting drupal.org on Azure might be on the radar. There is even a new initiative looking how to integrate .NET.
However, some resistance in the Drupal community is forming.

Update 02.04.2019: Of course this was our small contribution to the April Fool's Day, so everything stated above is not true and Clippy has been removed again from drupal.org.
