Your mission
As a Senior PHP & AI Developer, you will play a key role in our team:
- You develop PHP systems (ideally object-oriented, e.g., with Symfony (Drupal)) and operate them in a Linux/UNIX environment.
- You contribute AI/LLM expertise: You develop and integrate AI services, ideally with open source components.
- You will work with our team on open source projects, actively contribute, and help us further develop our systems and customer projects.
- Ideally, you will also advise our customers (e.g., NGOs, public institutions) on technical solutions, implement best practices, and share responsibility for quality, security, and scalability.
Your profile
Must-haves:
- You have excellent skills in object-oriented PHP development and experience with Linux/UNIX systems and versioning (Git)
- You have practical experience with AI integration (e.g., via APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, or open-source models such as Llama, Mistral) and large language models
- You are a team player with a customer-oriented approach, a structured way of working, and good English skills (German is an advantage)
- You are enthusiastic about open source and want to actively contribute to the development of open source software.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Drupal (e.g., modules, APIs) or a comparable framework.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Svelte, or React) or web application performance/scaling.
- Experience in the field of data pipelines, semantic APIs, or authentication
- Knowledge of "plain language" or willingness to familiarize yourself with this area
- Experience with orchestration solutions such as n8n, activepieces or make.com.
